When we moved back to Eastern Washington a few years ago, we
knew we wanted to have a small ranch but we just didn't know
what we want to raise. We purchased some acreage that needed
some work and began setting it up for livestock. We thought
about horses but when we saw our first miniature donkey we just
new that was the perfect pet for us. After purchasing our three
jennets we fenced off a section of pasture and began growing
our own grass/timothy hay for them. Now we continue to improve
the ranch, adding trees, composting, focusing on building the
herd and just enjoying the rural life.
